**Ella’s Birth Story

Denby,

I’m so sorry I haven’t gotten back to you, but you have been on my mind everyday. I can’t believe my little Angel is already 3 weeks old. We had her Newborn pics done today.  She is getting so big. All is well, and I’m loving being a Mommy. Ella is such a good little baby..she is really spoiling us. She is so calm and content. My Mom really thinks her contentment comes from all the prenatal yoga I did and I also think that my HypnoBirthing  really has a lot to do with it.

I wanted to email you my full labor story. I had a 99% successful Hypnobirth. My labor started @ 6am Thursday 3/10 and my water released @ 5:30pm that same night. I did one yoga squat in my back yard and  as I squatted I felt a pop and as I stood up my water released. I was so excited so I called Robin and she came over. We stayed at our house with Robin until Midnight (Friday 3/11 morning). We used the birth balls, yoga and listened to your Hypno CD and yoga music. I loved laboring home!!!

We thought I was much further along in my labor because my surges were about 2 minutes apart, but when I got to the hospital I was barely 5 centimeters. If I knew that I would have stayed home longer. I had my support team with me and we brought 2 birthing balls and my Ipod.

My Ipod was my savior…and you were the angel in my ear the entire time. Robin would tell me “Put Denby on”, “Listen to Denby”. You were with me my entire labor & adventure. I don’t remember the surges being terrible. My nurse Cathy was in awe of my relaxation and concentration. Should would stare at me and have tears in her eyes because she was just amazed. The nurses were calling me Wonder Woman which I think is ironic because I remember you talking about your Wonder Woman experience. HypnoBirthing helped me achieve the labor process that I totally wanted.

My nurse checked me when I was 9 centimeters and said that there was a lip on the left side of my cervix that wasn’t allowing me to fully dilate. She tried to push the lip passed the baby’s head, but had no luck. Half of my cervix was @ 9 and the other was @ 9.5. My doctor and nurse were trying so hard and pushing for me to carry out my natural birth plan. My doctor also tried to push that lip back and had no success. He put me on pitocin to try and see if it would help, but after 2 hrs of being stuck @ 9.5 and that lip not moving, we had to move on to the last resort with the c-section. I had the squat bar out and they had me try and push, but of course I wasn’t ready. SHE WAS SOOOO CLOSE!!!

I was at peace with the C-section, and knowing that my doctor & nurse were pulling for me and wanted me to have my natural birth really helped. I continued to use my Hypno breathing during the spinal and also during the surgery to relax me. Girl, you were with me through it all!! I can’t say enough about you and your HypnoBirthing class.

The baby was born 8 lbs 10 ozs & 20 inches. She was a BIG girl. My doctor said I would have probably had a very difficult time pushing her out. Come to find out, I had back labor the entire time and had no idea. She came out face up. I was even more proud of myself that I went through the entire labor process with back labor and didn’t feel the pain. My surges were intense at times, but the time flew! I didn’t realize how long we were at the hospital.

I wouldn’t change my experience for the world. Till this day my family are still amazed with my strength and determination. I have my laboring process on video. I did move around on the balls a lot and was in the shower the entire transition period, but for the last few hours I was in bed with my headphones and your beautiful voice in my ear. I couldn’t listen to the other Hypno CDs because her voice was way too distracting, but your voice was so sincere and familiar. You made me feel comfortable and peaceful. I can’t thank you enough.

I would love to stay in contact with you because you are such a special person to me. You were a part of such a miracle in my life! If you ever need a reference or written recommendation, please let me know. I know Alyson is going to have the natural birth she wants with your help. Anyway, my little angel is just waking up from her nap. I hear her sweet sounds over the monitor. I have to run, but keep in touch. I’d love to do lunch someday.

Love you…BIG HUGS!!
Emily & Ella
**Arianna’s Birth Story

My friend, Amber, had just had her second baby using HypnoBirthing.  She said that it was a great experience, and she had little to no pain without medication.

Baby Arianna

So, I decided to give it a try.  My husband, Steve, and I attended 5 classes to learn about HypnoBirthing, and I read a book and practiced with relaxation CDs.  I also found a doula that was familiar with HypnoBirthing, so that I would have extra support, as well as an advocate in the hospital.

At around 39 weeks I began to have surges/contractions, but they were irregular, and never lasted for more than a couple of hours.  They were not at all painful and just felt like my stomach was tightening.  At my 39 week checkup, I was 2 centimeters dilated, so we at least knew that the surges were making some progress.  At 40 weeks, I was 3 centimeters dilated, and still having surges every couple of days or so.  By this time, we were trying everything to get things moving; walking, pineapple, foot massage, acupressure (and some other things I won’t mention here.)   I really did not want to be induced again, like I was with my first baby, but my doctor was reluctant to let me go longer than 41 weeks.  So, on April 15 I had a sonogram to make sure that the baby was still doing well.  They checked to make sure there was still enough amniotic fluid, and there was plenty (almost too much).  However, they could also see that her head was a little off to the side and not on my cervix, and since there was so much fluid, they didn’t think that she would make it down to my cervix any time soon.  Even though I really wanted to go into labor naturally, we decided that the best option was to release my water to hopefully move her head onto my cervix and get labor going.

At around 1:00 PM on April 15, my doctor released my water, and labor started just minutes later.  My mom, Steve, and the doula were all there, and as the surges began to get stronger, I used my HypnoBirthing relaxation techniques.  I wasn’t feeling any pain, just tightening, until I was 8 centimeters.  Then the surges started to get very close together and were getting harder to “breathe through”.  Luckily, I went from 8 centimeters to 10 centimeters in about 30 minutes, and I had a few pushes before the doctor made it into the room.  Once she was there, I pushed 2 more times, and Arianna was born!  I’m so glad we chose to use HypnoBirthing, and I recommend it to all of my pregnant friends!

**Kaden’s Birth Story

Hi Denby, I wanted to write and let you know how Kaden’s birth went..

I thought I was having surges around 2:45 am, and we arrived at the hospital around 5:30. I was 4-5 cm dilated at that point but things progressed VERY quickly. Our biggest challenge was leg tremors that coincided with my surges. I had difficulty concentrating to relax because I couldn’t get them to stop shaking.

I was under the impression the labor might last awhile, so I reluctantly took a little bit of Stadol to take the edge off and ease the tremors so I could focus. The doctor came in shortly after and informed us that the baby was in the plus two position.  Had I known that I think I would have been able to hold off. I did do some pushing but the delivery was really really fast and easy. It only lasted about 30 minutes, and he was born at 8:56 am.

No episiotemy or any other medication of any kind. The doctor shook my hand at the end- I don’t think they thought we could do it! : ) The hospital told us that they see very few unmedicated births. Kaden came out the perfect color and super healthy and alert. He nursed right away. The hospital and our doctor (the one we wanted was on call) were very supportive of our wishes both for the birth and Kaden. Overall, HypnoBirthing was a HUGE help, and I credit it for having such a successful birth. Thanks again for everything!

**Danica’s Birth Story

I just wanted to update you on my little family! I had my daughter Danica via-VBAC on April 4th, a week past my due date. I was scheduled for an induction on the 5th, however Sunday night I went into labor on my own! 🙂:)

Andrew was working about an hour away, and because I didn’t think it was “real” labor, I didn’t bother telling him to come home. Well, at around 3am, I ended up driving to my parents house with my daughter, Carlie because she was crying and screaming because I wouldn’t/couldn’t lay in bed with her.

So, long story short, around 4am my Dad took me to the hospital.  Andrew was  unable to leave work, as he had driven everyone to the jobsite. Once I got there, they checked my progress, and I was 4-5cm and surging/contracting every 2-3 minutes. Andrew arrived around 7am.  Fortunately, my Dad stayed with me the whole time, although, he was in the waiting room when I started pushing! 😉;)

My water released at 10am, and I was still 4-5cm. Then, I was checked at 12:30 and much to everyone’s surprise, I was complete and the baby’s head was right there!  I didn’t have to push much. It only took about 20minutes, and she was out. I only recieved one stich. Andrew, my sister and her 3week old baby, plus my Grandma were all in the room with me.

My birth experience was 100% better than my previous birth. Also the recovery was so much easier and shorter. I used HypnoBirthing throughout my labor. When I was laboring at home alone with just my daughter, it worked wonders. I felt calm and relaxed even though I was  alone, and I didn’t know what was going to happen!  Thanks so much!  I’ll be recommending your classes to every pregnant woman that I know!

**Jackson’s Birth Story

Alyson and Jonathan birthed their precious son, Jackson Ryan, on Thursday, May 12th, 2011, at 3:27 AM. Jackson was born at Helen Ellis Hospital in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Jackson weighed in at 9 pounds 4 ounces and he was 20 ½ inches in length. His apgar scores of 9 and 9 proved that he was a very strong and healthy baby boy. It was an exciting and memorable birth journey for all. Alyson and Jonathan were overjoyed to have Jackson Ryan in their arms.

Alyson and Jonathan had prepared well for their birthing experience. Originally with an Obstetrician, they decided to transfer care to a midwife in a birthing center. They planned to take a HpynoBirthing Class and use this for deep relaxation during labor. They hired a birth doula to support them during delivery and met several times during Alyson’s pregnancy to learn about the birthing process. Two years prior to her pregnancy, Alyson developed a heart infection. Since the infection had been so recent, a heart doctor felt monitoring of her heart during delivery, would be necessary. Birth centers are allowed to take only low risk clients. In March of 2011, Alyson and Jonathan needed to decide what Obstetrician they were going to deliver with. Their doula gave them several recommendations and they chose a doctor they felt comfortable with. Soon Alyson felt at home and confident with the practice. Alyson and Jonathan did their homework, wrote up their Birth Preferences and soon felt they were prepared to meet their much anticipated, sweet baby, Jackson.

Alyson was determined to birth her baby naturally, as she believed this was the safest and healthiest option for her baby, and for herself. On April 20th, Alyson had a prenatal visit with her doctor. She had been having a few surges/contractions prior to her visit, but relaxed, drank some water & a milkshake and rested. This got things back to normal. Alyson realized how powerful our minds are, as her OB visit, the breastfeeding class, spicy food and homework with Jonathan really got her birthing hormones going. She would rest and wait until her baby was ready.

Alyson’s expected due date was May 9th, 2011. They decided to encourage Jackson to think about starting labor with acupuncture treatments. Early in the morning on Wednesday, May 11th, around 2 AM, Alyson had some strong, consistent surges. She stayed relaxed and went back to sleep. Alyson had a prenatal visit with her caregiver and she was 75 – 80% effaced, 3 centimeters dilated and her cervix was in the mid-position. Her body was totally ready for labor. Just before her third acupuncture treatment, later that day, around 3:25 PM, Alyson’s membranes released. She was sitting on her bed when all of a sudden she felt a popping sensation. Jonathan thought he actually felt it as well. They let their caregiver and doula know the exciting news. Since Alyson was Strep B negative, she was not asked to come right to the hospital. She would be able to labor at home a little while. Now the third acupuncture treatment would not be needed.  Their doula arrived at their home around 5:45 PM. Alyson’s mother and step-dad arrived shortly after that.

Alyson labored on the birth ball and in her bed. Sitting up felt much better than lying down. She did lay on her side for a little while as she got a foot massage. Alyson and Jonathan had set a peaceful, relaxing birthing atmosphere. They had aromatic candles lit and great relaxation music playing, a favorite of Jonathan’s. Bindi and Miley knew something was going on, as they paced back and forth by Alyson’s bed. Alyson was so loose and relaxed as her surges increased in frequency, intensity and duration. It was not very long until the deeper birth sounds of active labor began to be heard. Alyson even had a few bearing down sounds, so it was decided that it would be a good time to leave for the hospital. It was about 8 PM when everyone headed to their place of birth. Jonathan said the sounds Alyson made in the car on the way, were pretty intense. He was not sure what to do, except continue encouraging her. At one point Jonathan made a comment about how beautiful the sunset was. It was quite a long time later when Alyson responded by agreeing that the sunset was indeed beautiful. Once a surge began, Alyson went into her own special birthing place, oblivious to what was happening around her. Her birthing journey was well under way.

Once at the hospital, an exam was done, around 8:30 PM. Alyson was 90% effaced and she was 6 – 7 centimeters dilated and Jackson was at a -1 station! Alyson was definitely in active labor. They had arrived at the perfect time. Jonathan set up the sound system they would use. He put on the HypnoBirthing scenario’s Alyson had been listening to. These were very comforting and empowering. Alyson remained calm and focused throughout the admission process. She was amazing!

Alyson was in her own birthing zone, totally the best place she could be. Her nurse said Alyson was her hero. The staff was amazed at how well Alyson was doing, as she was well on her way to total dilation. Jackson was being monitored and everything looked great. Alyson’s surges were close, consistent and strong. Another foot massage was done and pressure points were released. Alyson liked effleurage and did this on her own belly as well. She had gone in the bathtub at home, but was not too interested in using the water now that she was at the hospital. She felt the most comfortable sitting in bed or lying. She said her legs were tired and she felt a bit weak when she was standing.  Alyson was having lots of show, which is indicative of cervical change.

Alyson and Jonathan both felt a great peace listening to Denby, their HypnoBirthing Instructor’s voice, on their sound system. After listening to her speaking throughout the duration of labor, they both said they would be fine if they did not hear Denby’s voice for at least a week! Alyson had her own special birth move while she was sitting in bed. She would rock back and forth when she was sitting up, following her body’s intuitive birthing sense. In the class they took with Denby, breathing your baby down, is encouraged. To simply let the body move the baby down the birth canal, without extra coaching and pressure from the birth team. The baby and Alyson’s body would do it together. Alyson and Jackson were doing this beautifully. Alyson said that she was encouraged when she felt Jackson moving inside her. It gave her the energy to go continue on with her labor.

Alyson talked to Jackson throughout labor. She told him that her and daddy were there, that he was safe. At 11:25 PM an exam found 100% effacement, 10 centimeters of dilation and Jackson was at the 0 station. Alyson was having a strong bearing down pressure. Her caregiver was wise and let Alyson’s body continue the work of bringing her baby down and out. This way Alyson would not exhaust herself with unnecessary pushing. Alyson continued to get up and stretch, walk around and for a while she sat on the birthing stool. This was helpful in moving Jackson down the birth canal. Her favorite place was sitting in bed. When she felt an urge to bear down, this was encouraged, but she was not coached to push. At 3 AM, an exam by their caregiver, found that baby Jackson was now at a +1 station. This was wonderful! Alyson could feel his head with her finger. A mirror was brought in for Alyson to watch her baby boy enter the world. Alyson “officially” began to push at 2:20 AM. Jackson’s head delivered slowly, a blessing for Alyson’s perineum, as she did not tear at all. As his head delivered it was found that the cord was wrapped around his neck. Their caregiver easily slipped it off and Jackson glided into the world at 3:27 AM. The umbilical cord was allowed to stop pulsating before Jonathan proudly cut it.

Jackson Ryan was birthed into his family on Thursday, May 12th, 2011. He weighed in at 9 pounds 4 ounces and was 20 ½ inches in length. Jackson had a good latch right from the start. Alyson had done an incredible work of birthing her baby boy and now she would continue this amazing womanly endeavor by nurturing her baby through breastfeeding.

Throughout Alyson’s labor, “Special Bear”, had been overseeing all. He has been a mascot of encouragement in the Eden’s family from the time Jonathan was a young child. It was very fitting for him to be a part of this most wonderful and joyous day in the life of their family. Jonathan’s family came in to meet their precious grandson and nephew. Rick and Lyn, Jonathan’s mother and father, and now Jackson’s grandparents and Aunt Shannon had come to meet Jackson. Pam, Alyson’s mother, and Sam, Alyson’s step-dad, had been at the hospital the entire labor, with Pam in the room throughout the delivery. She was a very calming presence for Alyson during the birth.

Alyson and Jonathan are a fantastic team. Together they will nurture and raise Jackson with lots of love and joy. Alyson and Jonathan worked so well together during her labor and delivery. Jonathan was there for whatever Alyson needed, mostly to know that he loved, cherished and admired her. Alyson is a strong woman, very courageous. She did what is considered rare in a hospital setting. She birthed her baby without medication all in her own power. She can be very proud of herself. Much love and best wishes to Alyson, Jonathan and Jackson for a job well done!

**Aaron’s Birth Story

Hi Denby!

I just have a sec here, but I wanted to tell you how it went after you did the Fear Release session with me.  I listened to the cd’s you brought by for about three hours, with surges like early labor, 10 minutes apart and not very long or intense.  By 6pm I suddenly felt pushy, and it worried me, since I dreaded being one of those women who had the urge at 5 cm and had to fight it for the rest of labor.  The midwife asked me to come in so she could evaluate me and (drumroll please!) I was at 9!!!!!

It took until 12:40 to actually bring the baby into the world, and we used the HypnoBirthing cd’s along with being in the tub for all of it except the pushing, which worked better for me on the bed.  Beautiful healthy boy arrived and we were overjoyed!

There’s more, but mostly I just wanted to let you know how *incredibly* helpful HypnoBirthing was for me, along with your assistance at such a crucial time.  I truly believe your help made it the labor I dreamed of.  Thank you, thank you.  If you ever want my testimony/birth story, all you have to do is ask.

Julie

**OMG Denby!  What an amazing experience, I got the birth I wanted!!  We are so happy 😀 I will email all the details to you later!  Just wanted to give you a quick update!  Take Care!

**Charlotte’s Birth Story

The long awaited moment has arrived, she’s here! Charlotte Sinclair was born at 1:38 this morning!  She weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces and is 19 inches long.  We are just over the moon right now!

She was a quick one, we barely made it to the birthing center.  She was born just 18 minutes after we arrived.  Thought we were going to have a roadside delivery, thank goodness there was no traffic.  We screeched into the parking lot, jumped in the tub, and there she was!  We got home about 6am this morning, and we are just having a blast snuggling her.  I’m feeling great and Justin is already wrapped around her finger.

We can’t wait to introduce her to you all!                                                                                  Much love, Emily, Justin and Charlotte

**Ryan’s Birth Story

Hi Denby!

I hope you are well.  Ryan Matthew is here!  He arrived on 3/8/11 at 12:58 pm weighing 8 lbs. 11 oz. and 22 inches in length.  We arrived at Labor of Love at 10:45 am and had him 2 hours later at 12:58 pm!  The waterbirth was beautiful  and Ryan arrived after only 19 minutes of pushing.  The HypnoBirthing was amazing, and I couldn’t have asked for a better birth experience.  Thank you.

Lots of Love,

Melissa

**I had 2 babies via the HypnoBirthing technique, and I LOVED both births. 🙂

I wasn’t so sure what I was going to do the first time around, but I felt I needed to be prepared- so one month before my due date, I contacted Denby for private HypnoBirthing sessions.  In the short period of time between her sessions and the birth of my first son (10 days early), I learned and practiced the techniques adequately enough to have a wonderful birth with my first son.  I was in labor for over one day at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and pushed for over 3 hours but you wouldn’t know it by how calm and in control I was.  I let the birth lead me, and it was a wonderful experience for me and my son.

My second son was born at a birthing center- it was a water birth, and also an amazing experience.  It took around 4 hours with only maybe 10 minutes of pushing.

Both times around, you wouldn’t be aware anyone was birthing in the room, as I was calm, quiet, and collected.  I was “in the zone” and my energy was used for breathing, relaxing, and letting my body and my baby lead me through each birth.  What a wonderful technique!  If I ever have any more children, I will definitely use HypnoBirthing!  I highly recommend everyone to consider it as an option for the birth of your little one- what a wonderful, calm way for your little one to enter the world!

**Noah’s Birth Story

Hi Denby!
Thank you so much for all your help and instruction with HypnoBirthing. It made our birth experience so enjoyable! We had a gorgeous, healthy little boy on June 20th at 3:45 AM and were comfortably resting at home by 8 AM that morning. The whole birthing experience was calm and beautiful. My husband and best friend were blown away by how relaxed and collected I was and how smoothly it went. I was really tired towards the end but all in all, it was a wonderful experience and exactly what we wanted. I labored in the tub for about four hours and pushed for about 25 minutes. Noah weighed 8 lbs, 4 oz and was 21 inches long at birth. He nursed right away and has been doing really well since. He’s a really good baby too, he sleeps very well and only wakes up twice in the night (at only 12 days old). He already weighs 9 lbs.
Anyway, thanks again for everything! I’d recommend you and HypnoBirthing to EVERYONE I know! I can’t imagine having done it any other way!

**Caden’s Birth Story

I was 32 when I had my first child, but in 2005 I was diagnosed

with endometriosis from exploratory surgery. My doctor explained to me that I had stage 3 endometriosis and that about 40% of women with endometriosis experience 100% re-growth within the first year after surgery. In 2008, I was married and we wanted kids. My doctor proceeded to tell me that I had a 98% chance that I would never conceive. BUT, with tons of faith and prayers I conceived naturally in April of 2008! My husband and I were THRILLED. I always said I wanted to have a natural drug free child birth, and now I had 9 months to do some research. I found HypnoBirthing, The Mongan Method and ordered the book. After reading the book I was convinced this was for me. My best friend and I were pregnant at the same time. Her “guess date” November 2008 and mine January 2009. We both did tons of research and found Denby. We signed up and took her class with our husbands and LOVED the course. Denby was a wonderful instructor through the class and a huge support even after the class was complete.

My actual “guess date” was January 24th, and on January 23rd (a Friday) my midwife called to tell me that the doctor had a meeting today and decided no one was going past their due date. Along with this grim news was the question; would you like to be induced on Sunday or Monday? I was beside myself listening to her speak. I declined to be induced, however I had to schedule an appointment to see the doctor Monday. I was pregnant with what we all believed would be a large baby however it was my first. Sunday night I started having surges and was very happy to call my midwife to tell her! By 7:30am I was on my way to the hospital. My surges stopped… I was 3cm and 80 to 90% effaced and my doctor sent me back to the hospital. She then told me that in the morning they were going to rupture my membranes and start Pitocin. Both of which I was very much against. She explained that it was this or a cesarean. At 1:10am on January 27th my water released on its own, and I was in “active labor”. At noon my doctor came in to give me a cesarean. I was 8 to 9 cm dilated and completely effaced. I had been on the monitors and the baby never missed a beat, and we were both the picture of health. Using the techniques Denby taught us, I remained in control and my midwife and nurse knew I wanted to have my baby naturally. They both became my advocates and my doctor conceded and allowed me to begin birthing my baby. Although I was unable to breathe the baby down I was able to birth my baby naturally. We didn’t know the sex of the baby. At 1:27pm on January 27th I had a 9lb 9oz baby boy! His birth was the most amazing experience.

Using the HypnoBirthing techniques learned I was able to enjoy my labor and give birth naturally and drug free. I recommend Denby and HypnoBirthing to everyone I hear is having a baby. Thank you Denby for the wonderful class and the support. Without the education I received from you I may have been another statistic and my son delivered with a cesarean unnecessarily.
Iris, Jason & Caden

**Denby’s class gave me the confidence I needed to have a drug-free, natural birth. My labor was 8 hours long, and I did not once believe that I couldn’t continue on naturally. Denby explained to my husband and I how birth over thousands of years has become an intimidating experience for women.  Learning how to relax and be confident helped me know that there is no reason to fear childbirth. If I could do it, anyone can. My 8lb 4 oz boy is the best thing in my life, and I will certainly return to Denby for a refresher course before my next baby. I highly recommend HypnoBirthing and Denby!

**I met Denby through a friend at the time when I was almost 8 months pregnant. She lovingly took the time to tell me about HypnoBirthing and with her passion sparked an interest in me. By the time my husband and I went back to Houston (where we live) we immediately met up with a HypnoBirthing teacher in Houston and took classes. If it had not been for Denby and her passion for allowing moms and babies to have a calm, relaxed and peaceful birth, I may not have had such a wonderful experience. Lucy, our little baby girl, came into this world at the hospital, but with clear agreements made with the doctors that they would not interfere unless really necessary. All in all labor lasted 4 hours and was very calm and peaceful while playing soothing meditative piano music. And Lucy, who is now 7 months old, is a very happy and healthy little girl! Denby, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for facilitating this experience! 🙂 We love you!  Oh, and no drugs needed at all, and the doctor came in just 10 minutes before Lucy was born!!! 🙂 To catch her!

**I was a doula for a mom who used HypnoBirthing. I was invited to one of her sessions to see first hand how mom would calm herself. At first I wasn’t so sure, but OMG….Mom was amazing!! She had a water birth and never uttered a word. She was DEEP into her breathing and relaxing, when we spoke to her it was a whisper and in her ear or to her husband to let her know what we needed her to do.

**”I was with my wife for the birth of our first child, It was a bad experience for us. Most of the techniques we practiced from the other course just weren’t there for us. HypnoBirthing® was far more than we had hoped for. Our daughter came into the world so easily and in such a calm atmosphere.”

**”How could I believe when I had gone through, not one but two, long and excruciating labors? I was petrified. Then I found HypnoBirthing®. This birth took four and a half hours. I was relaxed and comfortable all the way. It was wonderful.”

**I read of the advantages of self-hypnosis and relaxation in a magazine and set out to find a program that could teach me the method. I’m so happy I found HypnoBirthing®. This was our first baby, and my active labor was only three hours from start to end. We were thrilled.”

**I kept telling myself all I would feel is pressure–and it works. That’s all I did feel. What a difference from my first labor.”
